Atlanta will receive Tyler Pasher, Kevin Oliveira and a second round 2018 MLS SuperDraft pick in exchange for the rights to Kenwyne Jones, Alex Tambakis and a fourth round 2021 MLS SuperDraft pick.
Pasher, 23, is capable of playing left wing or left back and played in just one MLS match in 2017. He spent the majority of the season with Swope Park Rangers, SKC's USL team.
Oliveira, 21, is a midfielder who also spent most of his time in 2017 with Swope Park. He appeared in just two matches for the MLS club.
With the announcement of Atlanta United forming a USL expansion team, it's likely that both of these signings are aimed at bolstering their reserve team for the coming season.
Kenwyne Jones kinda, sorta announced his retirement after having his contract option declined by Atlanta in November. Will he stick to that decision now that he's sought after by SKC?
Tambakis, Atlanta's first-ever signing, also had his contract option declined. He will now fight for a spot on either SKC or Swope Park.
Good luck to Kenwyne and Alex and welcome Kevin and Tyler!
