Every season, MLS clubs are permitted one kit change from the previous year. Darren Eales revealed earlier this year that Atlanta United would be getting rid of the opinion-splitting “concrete and strawberry” secondary kit for the 2018 season.
While the new kit isn’t set to be released officially until around February, famed kit leaking website Footy Headlines and the Atlanta United subreddit appear to have uncovered the design.

The kit is themed with peach/orange accents on a light gray/white base. There’s honestly not too much to the design other than the different colors than the previous year. Gone are the light grey horizontal lines in favor of a solid color base. The “strawberry” has been replaced by what you have to assume is intended to be a peach type of color.
Here’s a digital mock-up of what the final product will likely look like:

While it’s important to note that this kit hasn’t been confirmed, it’s very rare to see a “leak” appear on Footy Headlines and it not come to fruition.
My take on it? It’s nothing special. But, it’s not terrible. Much like the inaugural secondary kit, it won’t blow anyone’s hair back, but it’ll do. Personally, I’d love to see some gold thrown into the mix for a secondary kit, but we’ll just have to be patient, I guess. As long as the home kit remains the same forever and ever, they can continue to experiment with the secondary all they want until they find that right look.
