Atlanta United’s newest acquisition is already warming up to his new fans. Mitch Hildebrandt, the former USL Goalkeeper of the Year that the club signed on Friday, posted a nice message to the Five Stripe nation (eh?) on his personal Twitter account:

“I couldn’t be more excited and happy to be joining the best and biggest club in MLS. Already in its short history Atlanta has proven to have a remarkable and passionate fan base. The love and support Amber and I have received from the Five Stripe’s faithful thus far has truly been heartwarming. I will do all I can to add quality to this already deep roster and contribute to bringing this club an MLS Cup. I’m honored to start my MLS journey here in Atlanta and to proudly wear the badge moving forward.”
Mitch seems like a very classy guy. Make sure to give him a follow here on Twitter and welcome him to the club.
