Merry Christmas to you and yours from the DSS staff. I want to thank every one of you for reading our little Atlanta United blog and making us a part of this amazing and ever-growing community.
The news is slow as it typically is during the holidays. You can probably expect the lack of rumors and news to last until the beginning of the new year. However, that won’t stop us from bringing you that fire content. In case you missed it yesterday, our very own Sam Jones published one of the most creative soccer/christmas-related poems ever created. In true Sam fashion, he made it all about Jeff Larentowicz. Read it here:
If reading isn’t your strong suit, the silky-voiced Kyle Tait put his golden pipes to use and voiced over the entire thing in amazing fashion. Listen to that here:
Our favorite Atlanta United superfan Jay Riddle even got in on the action with his own voiceover:
Whether you read it or listen to it, make sure you consume it into your soul as it’s freaking brilliant.
Traditional Boxing Day Shindig
For the fourth year in a row, Atlanta United will be hosting multiple Boxing Day Scarf Exchange events on the day after Christmas. A morning full of Premier League, drinks and scarves seems like a great way to burn off all that turkey and ham, doesn’t it?
Here’s how it works, in case you’re new to the event. You bring an old scarf to the event and exchange the team will bless you with a brand new, limited edition Boxing Day scarf. All scarves exchanged will be donated to Covenant House Georgia. There will be two venues this year. The pertinent info you’ll need is below.
