Update: It’s official! Good luck, Harrison.
It seemed inevitable that this would happen and it’s reportedly going down. Jeff Reuter, a reporter who covers Minnesota United, is reporting that Atlanta United will trade Harrison Heath to the Loons in exchange for a fourth round SuperDraft pick in 2019.
BREAKING: #MNUFC set to acquire M Harrison Heath from #ATLUTD. Loons will trade a 2019 fourth-round pick. Harrison is the son of MIN head coach Adrian Heath. #MLS

The 21-year-old Heath will reunite with his father for the second time in his pro career after spending a season in Atlanta. He was used very sparingly by Tata Martino after being acquired in the offseason. He played a grand total of one minute in MLS in the inaugural season. His most memorable moment was a bad turnover that ultimately led to Miami FC knocking Atlanta out of the U.S. Open Cup.
While he didn’t play much, he seemed to be a great locker room presence, always joking with teammates on social media. It was announced in late November that the club had declined his option for 2018. Assuming this obvious move comes to fruition, we wish Harrison all the best in Minny.
