The U.S. men’s national team is in Chattanooga, Tennessee tonight to host Jamaica at Finley Stadium. USMNT is fresh off a goalless draw against Serbia on Sunday, while the Reggae Boyz take the pitch for their first friendly of 2017.
Atlanta United fullback Greg Garza found himself in the starting XI for Sunday’s match and logged 69 minutes before being subbed off. As a whole, the team wasn’t able to finish on the few chances they created and ended up without a winning result in San Diego against the Serbians. However, Darlington Nagbe was a player that got high marks - as did Jozy Altidore - but they just weren’t able to get their team on the board. Regardless, it’s likely that U.S. coach Bruce Arena will hold the same (or similar) lineup going into this match against Jamaica.
For the Reggae Boyz, Atlanta’s Romario Williams was called up to the traveling squad on Tuesday and will be with the team in Chattanooga tonight. Williams made his debut as a 70th-minute substitute on November 13 in Jamaica’s 1-0 victory over Suriname. The youngster might see a little more time on the pitch again this evening (if at all), depending on the result and Jamaica’s level of play during the match.
