A couple weeks ago, I showed you guys how to create an Atlanta United Starting XI on FIFA 17. With the addition of Josef Martinez and Carlos Carmona to the club, it’s time to update the squad.
Here are the eighteen Atlanta United signees that are available on FIFA 17, as well as the clubs they can be found playing for in the game(as of February 3rd):
Goalkeepers: Alec Kann - Sporting Kansas City
Defenders: Michael Parkhurst - Columbus Crew, Zach Loyd - FC Dallas, Mark Bloom - Toronto FC, Mikey Ambrose - Orlando City, Greg Garza - Club Tijuana, Tyrone Mears - Seattle Sounders, Leandro Gonzalez Pirez - Estudiantes de La Plata, Anton Walkes - Tottenham Hotspur
Midfielders: Chris McCann - Coventry City, Tito Villalba - Club Tijuana, Miguel Almiron - Lanus, Harrison Heath - Orlando City, Jeff Larentowicz - Los Angeles Galaxy, Jacob Peterson - Sporting Kansas City, Yamil Asad - Velez Sarsfield, Carlos Carmona - Atalanta
Forwards: Josef Martinez - Torino
Just to refresh everyone’s memory, here is the previous Starting XI I had:

It’s a miracle. Finally, after months of eager anticipation, we can now play with a true striker in Josef Martinez. His FIFA 17 rating of 72 is certainly good enough for a place in the Starting XI, but also take into consideration his listed pace of 90. Pair that with Villalba’s pace rating of 94 and Almiron’s rating of 89, and there may be no stopping this team on a counter-attack.
Carlos Carmona boasts a 75 overall rating, which ties Miguel Almiron for the highest among Atlanta United players. Obviously, he’ll fit nicely into our lineup. The big question is, how do we sort out the midfield with these two new additions? Well, here’s how I did it.

I really didn’t expect to stick with a 4-2-3-1 formation for this long, but with the ratings of Chris McCann and Jeff Larentowicz each being 70, it’s tough for me to remove either of them from the Starting XI.
I have Carmona at central mid. Though we could likely see him as a #6 when the season begins, he’s listed as a CM in FIFA. That’s enough for me.
Almiron moves to the left, replacing Jacob Peterson. Villalba returns to his natural spot on the right, replacing Yamil Asad. Again, the pace between the three DP’s is going to cause plenty of problems for opposing backlines.
Jacob Peterson, Yamil Asad, Michael Parkhurst, Mark Bloom, Anton Walkes, Mikey Ambrose and Harrison Heath are the seven players available to come off the bench for Atlanta United.
Here are the twelve Atlanta United signees that are currently unavailable in FIFA 17:
Goalkeepers: Alexander Tambakis, Alex Kapp
Defenders: Miles Robinson
Midfielders: Andrew Carleton, Chris Goslin, Kevin Kratz, Julian Gressell, Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu
Forwards: Jeffrey Otoo, Kenwyne Jones, Brandon Vazquez, Romario Williams
I’ll continue to update the Starting XI as more players sign with the greatest club in the world.
