For their great performances vs. Toronto FC.

Two of Atlanta United’s Designated Players have been named to the latest MLS Team of the Week for their performances in a tough away draw at Toronto FC. Tito Villalba and Miguel Almiron have been blessed with the honor with the Argentinian making the starting lineup of the team and the Paraguayan on the bench.

Villalba’s inclusion is an obvious one thanks to his two well-taken goals. Using his world-class pace and even showing some strength, he finished to important chances to help Atlanta secure the 2-2 draw.

Almiron earns a spot thanks to an overall solid performance that included great work on both ends of the field. Yes, he played an amazing ball to Tito for the first goal of the match and was his usual dynamic self in the attack, but he was also very helpful in the defensive end too. His nine recoveries was good for joint leader on the team. He’s proving that he’s more than just a No. 10.

Well done, guys. We’re sure there will be many more such accolades coming in the future.
