Atlanta United vs. D.C. United: Final score 1-3, Post-match reaction

You react, you rate.

MLS: D.C. United at Atlanta United FC Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

Atlanta United returned home from a long road trip only to be greeted rudely by D.C. United. The elder United prevailed 3-1 despite a bright start from Atlanta. Kenwyne Jones scored the match’s first goal in the 9th minute and the Five Stripes appeared to have full control of play. However, an own goal turned the tides and Atlanta never recovered. After Luciano Acosta made easy work of Atlanta’s defense to give D.C. the lead, heads dropped and another would be added in the second half. Tata Martino’s side kept pushing to try and get back into the match, but they couldn’t break D.C.’s conservative defense.

Instead of giving you our player ratings, we what to know what you think. Below is a ratings form for you to fill out with how you rate each Atlanta United player’s performance. After a day/night of voting, we’ll tabulate the ratings and reveal them with the top rated player being named our site’s Man of the Match. Feel free to head down to the comments section and leave your thoughts on the match as a whole or give your detailed explanation of your ratings.
