The MLS announced today that Atlanta was selected to host the inaugural MLS Summer Beat concert series. The Summer Beat concert series is going to be held May 26th-28th, with San Jose and Seattle being the other cities selected to host the event. The MLS will bring in local acts, to bring some fun and excitement in for Memorial Day weekend.
To kick off the series, Atlanta’s own Mike WiLL Made-It will host a show on Friday, May 26th. This kicks off the weekend for Atlanta United, as they will face New York City FC on Sunday at Bobby Dodd. The tickets to the show will be made available first to Founding Members on Friday, May 19th, where they will be able to reserve up to 2 tickets. The remaining tickets will be made available to the public on May 20th.
Personally, I love how the MLS is looking to be in tune with the communities that their teams are in. This goes hand in hand with what Atlanta United has been doing with the pre-match special guests as well. I’m sure this will be a fun concert and I hope that Mike WiLL brings out some other guests from Atlanta as well.
