Miles Robinson, Alex Tambakis and Chris Goslin are officially on loan to the Charleston Battery for their two matches this week.
Robinson was the first MLS Superdraft pick in Atlanta United history, while Tambakis was the first player ever signed for the club. Neither player has seen the field for the first team in 2017.
Chris Goslin was the second player to sign a Homegrown contract with Atlanta United and has been a consistent figure within the U17 US youth national team along with teammate Andrew Carleton.
Tambakis, who was on loan with Charleston the the entirety of the 2016 USL season, saw substantial playing time with the Battery. It’s hard to say what the role of all three players will be, but it’s safe to say they’ll have better opportunities to see the field for the Battery than with Atlanta United.
For the Battery, the three players will add quality depth to a team looking to make a US Open Cup run and a strong statement in the USL regular season. It’ll also give players like Robinson and Goslin a chance to get acclimated to a regular team setting professional playing environment.
