Uh. Okay then..

Atlanta United will have one player with the USMNT this summer. Brad Guzan has been called up to the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup for the United States. Manager Bruce Arena unveiled his 23-man roster, cutting 17 from the preliminary roster.

Inexplicably, Greg Garza has been left off the roster despite his stellar play for Atlanta United and the sever lack of left backs in the USMNT pool. But, we won’t complain about not losing him for Atlanta United.

Guzan will leave the team immediately as they head to camp ahead of a warm-up friendly against Ghana on Saturday, July 1. The Gold Cup kicks off for the U.S. a week from Saturday in Nashville against Panama. He will miss at least two matches (July 1 at Columbus, July 4 vs. San Jose) and could miss more if the U.S. advance to the knockout rounds.
