Major League Soccer unveiled their official kits for the 2017 MLS All-Star Game that the league’s best players will wear in their exhibition match against Real Madrid on August 2nd. Here’s a look at the interesting strip:

While the official description of the shirt doesn’t mention any relation to the USMNT’s 1994 World Cup “denim kit”, it’s clear as day that the shirt is inspired by the iconic look donned by the Americans in that year:

The nearly identical pattern of stars is laid across the chest with a maple leaf or two mixed in for the sprinkle of Canadian team in the league. It’s a pretty cool look in my opinion.
Miguel Almiron will surely look great in it. As of last week, he and Greg Garza were set to get the nod to the Fan’s Starting XI as they were the leading vote-getters at their respective positions. With Atlanta United fans’ proclivity for voting, it’s hard to see either losing their grip on the spots.
