Atlanta United have been a monster at home lately, winning four straight at Bobby Dodd Stadium. While they may be Mr. Hyde in Atlanta, they’re certainly more Jekyll away from home where they haven’t won since April 22 against Real Salt Lake. A trip to Columbus to take on the Crew isn’t exactly what the doctor ordered for a team struggling with away form.
The Crew have a very good 6-2-1 record at MAPFRE Stadium this season, which means Tata Martino’s men will have their work cut out for them. They currently sit one spot above Atlanta United in the standings in 5th place.
The Five Stripes should have a full compliment of players available for selection after they rested the majority of their top players during the U.S. Open Cup loss to Miami FC during the midweek. Aside from Carlos Carmona, Leandro Gonzalez Pirez and Alec Kann, Atlanta’s top players are rested up and ready to try and scratch out at least a point.
