Mercedes Benz Stadium Single Game Ticket Sales Announced

A new chapter for Atlanta United begins soon

Mercedes-Benz Stadium

The much awaited opening of Mercedes Benz Stadium will be here faster than it takes to cook a pot of grits. Perhaps not that fast, but it’s coming up soon. In light of that, Atlanta United announced the dates that single game tickets will be available on the team website today.

Per the team announcement:

Wednesday, July 19:Atlanta United founding members and Mercedes-Benz Stadium seat license owners will receive an exclusive pre-sale offer to purchase single match tickets for matches at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Thursday, July 20: Atlanta United group tickets will go on sale to the general public. Those interested in purchasing group tickets may call 678-420-7200 or email grouptickets@atlutd.com.

Monday, July 24:Atlanta United single match tickets will go on sale to the general public for matches at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Atlanta United has been drawing world class crowds at Bobby Dodd Stadium, selling out every game so far this year and there is little reason to think that will change when the team moves into their new digs. With an average attendance of 46,482 at home this year, the team will make 42,500 seats available for six of the eight games at MBS.

For two of the matches, against Orlando City on September 16 and the final game of the season against Toronto FC on October 22, seats in the upper level will be made available. The stadium has a capacity of 75,000 with the potential to accommodate 83,000 fans, so a huge crowd could be on hand for some of the matches at the new venue.

The team also announced the procedure for redeeming the two compensatory tickets that Founding Members received as a part of the Five Stripes opening the season at Bobby Dodd. Beginning Monday July 17, 2017 season ticket holders may login to their Atlanta United accounts to claim their complimentary tickets.

Opening the new stadium has been a long time coming but getting another opening day atmosphere in the same season might just be worth the wait.
