Atlanta United have sustained an unfortunate blow ahead of their first-ever match against Orlando City. Their leading goalscorer, Josef Martinez, will have to miss out due to a foot injury. Martinez was seen in a walking boot before warm-ups and it’s been confirmed by the team that he’s day-to-day with a foot contusion.
.@JosefMartinez17 is out for the match with a right foot contusion. He was a game-time decision and is listed as day-to-day.

Andrew Carleton returns from helping the U-16’s win the U.S. Soccer Development Academy championship to win a spot on the bench. Another interesting absence from the bench is Kevin Kratz. It is not known if that was due to a coaching decision or injury.
