MLS: Atlanta United FC at Orlando City SC Logan Bowles-USA TODAY Sports

Atlanta United returned from the Gold Cup break with a new shiny toy in U.S. goalkeeper Brad Guzan, who finally joined the team after signing a pre-contract in January. The veteran of international soccer and the Premier League wasted no time in making an impact with several clutch saves to keep the little Lions off the scoresheet. That allowed for Tito Villalba’s wondergoal in the 86th minute to act as the game-winner in the Five Stripes first ever meeting with Orlando City.

Man of the Match: Brad Guzan

While the official Atlanta United Man of the Match award couldn’t be decided, our community had a unanimous choice. Bradley of House Guzan is the runaway winner of our award in his debut. He made was will likely be a strong favorite for Save of the Week in the first half and added several important stops along the way.
