MLS: San Jose Earthquakes at Atlanta United FC Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Atlanta United acquired their first three-game win streak in franchise history on Tuesday night with a 4-2 win over San Jose Earthquakes. The win also extended the Five Stripes’ home win streak to an impressive five on the trot. A frustrating first half saw Atlanta go down a goal, but a red card to the Quakes changed things and a second half onslaught helped secure the three points.

Man of the Match: Josef Martinez

There was some controversy surrounding the MOTM award given out by the team. Apparently the official team award was given to Anton Walkes for his first professional goal that ended up being the game-winner. While, the fans award known as the “Golden Spike” award was handed to Josef Martinez for his two-goal performance. As you can see, the DSS community agrees with the fans vote.
