Today was the first-ever training session for Atlanta United inside the walls of their $1.6 Billion+ palace, Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The club held an open session for Founding Members today and over 20,000 people showed up to watch their favorite players kick a ball around and sample some food (check out our story from the event coming in the morning).

First and foremost, it appears as both Garza and Josef Martinez are training fully after missing time due to injury. Hopefully both are ready to go for Wednesday’s match against D.C. United.
It’s also clear to see just how massive and extravagant the new stadium is. It’s going to be truly amazing to see a full stadium of fans chanting and singing while the Five Stripes do their thing. Only 22 days to go...
