10 Days until Atlanta United play in Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Light it up.

Ten. More. Days. That’s all that stands between us and Atlanta United making their official Mercedes-Benz Stadium debut on September 10 against FC Dallas. Today we have a mixed bag of info coming at you.

Greggtsch wrote a great fanpost yesterday listing how many tickets are still available to the remaining home games this season. Of note, the Orlando City match, which will be opened up to full capacity, only has 593 tickets left for sale.

Brett Jewkes, AMB Group’s CCO, tweeted out a very cool photo of MBS’ lighting system being tested out at night.

Someone tweeted him back suggesting that they install some lights on the roof. To which he seemed intrigued...

While lights may or may not be coming to the roof in the future, we can admit that it’s a neat feature that’s reminiscent of venues such as Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena and FNB Stadium in “Soccer City” Johannesburg, South Africa.

You can expect to see some neat interactive features with the lights. Such as tributes to other Atlanta sports teams and other cool things. If nothing else, it’ll make for some good #blog #content...
