Atlanta United looked right at home during their 3-0 win over FC Dallas in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium opener on Sunday. Goals from Leandro Gonzalez Pirez, Josef Martinez and Greg Garza were enough for three crucial points and an incredible opening day in Atlanta.
While the spectacle on the pitch was a sight to see, many in attendance were still in awe of the brand new stadium.

The fans in attendance put on a show themselves, proving to the rest of the league why they have one of the best atmospheres in MLS.

Even the neutral fans on social media were impressed with Atlanta fans coming out in full voice on Sunday:
I wouldn't want to be part of a visiting team at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The intensity and atmosphere is quite something. #ATLvDAL

While the atmosphere and stadium itself received tons of praise, the contributions on the pitch were far from forgotten:
Miguel Álmiron (23) and Hector Villalba (23) have contributed to more goals (15) than any other U-23 player in the MLS.

Almiron was a soccer god today. #ATLUTD
