Tito Villalba up for MLS Goal of the Week yet again

Surely we have to be close to a record?

MLS: Montreal Impact at Atlanta United FC Adam Hagy-USA TODAY Sports

Another week, another Atlanta United goal is up for MLS Goal of the Week. Tito Villalba has received his third nomination of the season for his great goal against Montreal Impact that was the eventual game-winner. Here’s the strike from outside of the box in case you’ve somehow missed it:

His twelfth goal of the season, not too dissimilar from the game-winning goal in Orlando earlier this season that also won the weekly award. This one was probably 5-10 yards closer to goal, but the result was still the same.

Both of the previous times that Tito has been nominated for GOTW, the Atlanta United Keyboard Coalition has gotten it for him. As far as I can remember, the club hasn’t lost out on one of these votes yet.

Now’s not the time to break that trend. Make sure to go here and vote as many times as humanly possible.
