MLS: Montreal Impact at Atlanta United FC Adam Hagy-USA TODAY Sports

Atlanta United have now gone 11 straight home matches without a loss after a very solid 2-0 win over Montreal Impact on Sunday. It wasn’t all good news as Miguel Almiron sustained an injury that will keep him out for several weeks. Despite that, the team came together and put up a great performance to beat a good team.

Man of the Match: Tito Villalba

When one star goes down, another rises. That seems to been the way this Atlanta team has operated all season. It’s been Tito Villalba to be the one to step up. When Josef Martinez went down, Tito shifted to striker and played great. Miguel Almiron goes down and Tito does it again. He was more of a focal point in the attack when Miggy left the game and him playing more central allowed him the chance to unleash a thunderbolt with his right foot that gave the team the lead in the first half. We can’t say enough about how good Tito has been all season.
