Every year, MLSSoccer.com compiles a list of the 24 best players in the league under 24 years of age. This year, Atlanta United’s Miguel Almiron tops the countdown, to the surprise of very few. It’s almost unfair to have one of the best overall players in the league eligible for such a list, but that’s the way the cookie crumbs.
Miggy has had a tremendous debut season in MLS at just 23 years old. He was rewarded with an MLS All-Star roster spot for his efforts. Atlanta’s No. 10 isn’t just the team’s creator, he doesn’t it all. He has an unbelievable work rate, whether it’s going forward or tracking back. He can fly down the wings or sit in space in front of the box to create chance. And, of course, he can finish them off with some incredible goals to his name.
Two other Atlanta United South American stars made the list as well. Tito Villalba came in at No. 8, while Yamil Asad ranked at No. 11. We’ll leave the full list down below. Head to the comments and give us your thoughts.
