You know the deal by now. Atlanta United win, great crowd, great performance, blah, blah, blah. Look, we’re a really good soccer team. That’s the facts.
Man of the Match: Julian Gressel
Taking one giant step towards the Rookie of the Year award, Julian Gressel filled in for the injured Miguel Almiron and picked up the slack and then some. His goal and assist performance, including a great run and finish in the first half helped extend Atlanta’s home unbeaten run to 12 matches and clinch the club a spot in the MLS Cup playoffs. What a rookie year it’s been for the No. 8 overall SuperDraft pick. In other good news, every player finished with a 7 rating or above, even with the persistent and unwarranted Anton Walkes slander.
