As there are many World Cup Qualifiers today, the matchup between Paraguay and Uruguay is definitely one that you should watch. After Paraguay defeated Chile 3-0 and came away with a huge road victory, Miguel Almiron will look to help Los Guaranis add another three points as they host Uruguay in a vital World Cup Qualifier.
Last match:
Paraguay 3-0 Chile
Paraguay arrived in Santiago looking for a positive result in their quest to reach a spot in the 2018 World Cup, well they accomplished their goal and more as they dominated a Chile team that never found their footing.
Chile started the game on the wrong foot as Arturo Vidal scored an own goal in the 24th minute of the first half. It seemed as though Chile would tie the ballgame, but then Victor Caceres scored the second goal for Paraguay 10 minutes into the second half. Richard Ortiz would score the last goal of the game in the 92nd minute and sealed the victory for Paraguay, their first in Chile since 2007. Almiron played 78 minutes in the game before being subbed out by Carlos Rolon.

The difference between second-place and seventh-place is only four points and with nine points left on the line, every match is vital towards reaching the World Cup for Paraguay.
Paraguay is undefeated against Uruguay in WCQ’s and will look to keep the streak going as over 35,000 people will fill the Estadio Defensores del Chaco tonight. With only three matches left on the schedule, Paraguay will look to take advantage of this match, as the key rule of WCQ’s is “win your home games and earn a point on the road.”
The last time these two teams faced each other was in 2016, when Uruguay routed Paraguay in a 4-0 victory in Montevideo.
