As if Atlanta United’s ownership hadn’t already given us enough proof of the fact that they are a class act, they go and take one more step beyond.

The AMB Group (which owns both the Falcons and United) announced today that five lower level seats in Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be dedicated as a “Row of Honor”. These seats will be reserved for use by the Atlanta Police Department and Atlanta Fire Rescue Department. The departments will select who fills those seats at all games.

AMB Group CEO Steve Cannon noted that the team wanted to do something to give back to the men and women who ensure the safety of Atlanta residents, saying “This is a small thank you to those who continue to protect the entire city of Atlanta day in and day out.”

The seats will be specially decorated using the APD and AFRD logos overlaid on a US flag design.
