#Barcowatch has finally ended, and Atlanta United has its new No. 8.
Atlanta United finally announced the much-anticipated signing of Ezequiel Barco Friday afternoon just after the team concluded its participation in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft. Here is how the club announced the news of the signing:

Barco’s new number isn’t the most conventional for a player who will likely play around the box and on the wings, but his talent is very much deserving of a much-desired single-digit squad number on the back of his shirt. It looks pretty damn good imo. Darren Eales spoke of his delight in securing the Argentine playmaker in a press release following the announcement.
“Securing a player of Ezequiel’s caliber is another significant moment in Atlanta United history,” Atlanta United President Darren Eales said. “This transfer further demonstrates the commitment of our club to bring top level, dynamic young players to Atlanta and to MLS. We are excited to welcome Ezequiel to our club and our city.”
Welcome our new No. 8!
