For the second straight year Atlanta United has 5 players on the top 25 jerseys sold list, good enough for the most players of any team in MLS this year. This year, the goal-scoring king, Josef Martinez, lead the team in Jersey sales, edging ahead of teammate Miguel Almiron who was the leader last season.
Here is how the team stacked against the rest of MLS players; Martinez (3), Almiron (5), Ezequiel Barco (10), Darlington Nagbe (15), and Tito Villalba (18).
While they did “fail” to get the top spot this year as they did last year, it’s still a big success for how well Atlanta’s merchandise has continued to be top of the league in the year after its inaugural season.
