Atlanta United vs. Portland Timbers in the 2018 MLS Cup Final will be played in front of a record crowd of more than 70,000 fans, as Ticketmaster appears to have no more tickets available for sale.
If you haven’t yet secured a ticket but are trying to attend the match, the secondary market is where you’ll have to look. It is going to cost you. The cheapest tickets available right now are more than $200, and that’s just for standing room only. I’m no expert on the secondaryn ticket market, but as hypoe builds for the match throughout the week, I’d expect the demand — and prices — to go up.
The previous record number of fans for an MLS Cup Final was set in 2002 at Gillette Stadium when the Los Angeles Galaxy beat the New England Revolution in front of 61,316 fans. Atlanta United has consistently drawn more than 70,000 in attendance this season when the upper deck has been open.
