It’s a big weekend of soccer action including Atlanta United looking for more redemption, this time against Vancouver. Before we get into all that though, we have to get through today - let’s get started.
Onto the Dirt...
Domestic
There was an event in Chattanooga to build a network of community based clubs including Chattanooga FC. Nipun Chopra of SocTakes had an interview with club owner Tim Kelly to get his take on the event, lower league soccer and why the team is pulling out of NISA.

Over on Stars and Stripes FC, Steph Yang has an article looking at what the Christen Press trade fiasco means for NWSL as it continues to evolve and take the next steps in its development.
International
The United Bid Committee announced the final 23 cities for the bid that will be lost to Morocco this summer. If things hold true to course, Atlanta could miss out on being a host city for the three country tournament in 2026.
The USMNT is continuing its futility tour ahead of the 2022 World Cup and will play Bolivia in Philly on Labor Day.
Zito Madu on the big SB Nation soccer page has a look at big athletes and fouls - specifically that they don’t get them. He discusses Romelu Lukaku and Lebron James to illustrate his point.
