With the international break upon us, we sadly won’t see Atlanta United in action until March 31st. On the bright side, three players from the club have received call ups from their national teams to feature in friendlies during the international break.
No greater honor

Miguel Almiron has been named in Paraguay’s squad to face the United States on March 27th, while teammate Darlington Nagbe was called up to the USMNT to feature in the same game. It’s a tad worrying that the friendly is just four days before Atlanta United’s return to MLS action, but there’s a chance that neither of Atlanta’s stars plays the full 90 minutes and will be ready to go to face Minnesota United.
The third Atlanta United player to receive the honor of an international call up is Romario Williams, who will be in Jamaica’s squad to face Antigua and Barbuda. Andrew Carleton & Chris Goslin will also be on international duty with the U.S. U-20s team before returning to the club ahead of March 31st. A good weekend for Atlanta United sees three points claimed and three players called to represent their countries.
