The USMNT had a decent win last night against Paraguay, but honestly, it was a missed opportunity:

Afterwards it sounded like American Manager Dave Sarachan was going to take his big boys out for ice cream at least:

Anyway, the USMNT seems to be something of a mess with a manager who looks to be trying to placate the “play your kids” contingent while also getting results to keep his temporary job. Hopefully for the national team, Sarachan doesn’t turn into the house guest who just doesn’t leave.

Domestic

LAFC signed another DP as they continue to be the best expansion team in MLS history.

Less successful expansion teams are also looking to add a DP as Darwin Quintero seems set to join Minnesota United. The team is finally making the moves needed to be ready to play in MLS it looks like.

International

Peru blewout Iceland 3-1 in Harrison, New Jersey last night. Also, someone tell J. Sam Jones that the ‘we’re not tweeting about this game anymore because it’s a blowout and it’s embarrassing’ bar has been raised:

England took on Italy as they prepare to play in the World Cup. Raheem Sterling shinned and Jamie Vardy seemed to have a good game as well.
