Atlanta United announced that its away match against Minnesota United orginally set to take place on April 1st has been rescheduled a day earlier, March 31st at 8 p.m. ET.

According to MNUFC CEO Chris Wright, both clubs and MLS decided to make the change after receiving feedback from their season ticket holders, many of whom had conflicts with the match falling on the same day as Easter Sunday. Officials from the University of Minnesota’s TCF Bank Stadium, the Loons temporary home until the completion of Allianz Field in 2019, agreed to the move.

The rescheduled match will be Atlanta’s first after the March international break

The teams split their two meetings last season. Atlanta defeated Minnesota 6-1 for their first ever win, although the match is known more for being the coldest match in MLS history(19 degrees Fahrenheit at kickoff). MNUFC returned the favor the second time around, beating the Five Stripes 3-2 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
