Injury Report: Atlanta United vs LA Galaxy

Will we ever be full strength?

MLS: D.C. United at Atlanta United FC Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

After an early season injury bug, it seems as if Atlanta United is close to being fully healthy. Even with injuries to many starters and key players, the Five Stripes have managed to endure an impressive start to the season. Obtaining 13 of a possible 18 points while dealing with so many line up changes and injuries is quite impressive. Tata Martino was able to fill us in on some player that we could see return to the pitch very soon.

Tito Villalba: After missing an entire week of training and the match against NYCFC, Tito resumed training today. He was separate from the team, training by himself so it is expected that the team want to ease him back in to playing after his leg injury against LAFC.

Franco Escobar: The versatile defender is back and ready to play. Martino said that Escobar will be available for the match against LA Galaxy this weekend after recovering from a concussion that he suffered against Vancouver.

Ezequiel Barco: 100%. Martino says that Barco is fully recovered and will need game time to regain his form.

Mitch Hildebrandt: He is still recovering from a knee injury but according to Tata he is getting closer and closer to returning.

Greg Garza: It seems as if this name comes up a lot on the injury report. While this is true it is not a knock on his toughness, Garza is available to play this weekend since he is so willing to play through injuries. “I know it’s not normal to have a dislocated shoulder, my labrum is completely torn. That's something I’ll think about later in life. If I need to play another game like Minnesota and pop it back in to place then so be it.” Greg is showing us that not all heroes wear capes.
