Atlanta United continued it’s now 6-game unbeaten run Saturday in Los Angeles with a comprehensive 2-0 win over the LA Galaxy. For the first time maybe ever, the Five Stripes went on the road and dominated most if not all aspects of the game. The team allowed no clear cut chances to the Galaxy and its vaunted attacking trio of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ola Kamara and Romain Alessandrini. Atlanta’s attack, on the other hand, looked as dangerous as ever. In Ezequiel Barco’s first start, the 19-year old Argentine made a big impact in helping Atlanta’s own attacking force be as fluid and potent as ever.
Man of the Match: Miguel Almiron. Once again, the Paraguayan sensation was everywhere, and you voted him as your man of the match for the second time in as many weeks. Almiron was his typical self, covering tons of ground and pushing the team upfield with the ball as much as possible. It was no less than what we’ve come to expect from him, and with Barco now in the fold, things are going from good to great for the Five Stripes.
