There wasn’t anything to really get mad online yesterday about. All that was left was some great soccer. Still, we got some clarification about Concacaf underpantsgate and are on the verge of watching Liverpool lose a three goal advantage in the Champions League. Without further ado, onto the Dirt...
Domestic
Friends, the Daily Dirt went to bed early on Tuesday. Too early it turns out, all the good stuff happened after midnight. First there was El Piojo making a spectacle of himself perhaps to get the headlines off of his players for their 3-1 drubbing at the hands of FC Strangebrew in Toronto. If you missed it he claimed the Toronto police were unkind to some of his players in a tunnel row and went on to accuse Concacaf officials of forcing his players to change their underpants. The police abuse accusation was doubted by Greg Vanney, what a surprise, but the underpants changing incident was given credibility by Atlanta United legend Bobby B:
Max, I can't tell you how many times we were told by Concacaf officials to change our sliders/underwear before the game. They would literally tell us it was going to be a forfeit if we didn't change. It's their way of initiating dominance before the game starts.

Gods my underwear was coordinated with my outfits then.
Bruce Arena wrote a book! It’s called, and I’m not joking, “What’s Wrong With US? A Coach’s Blunt Take on the State of American Soccer After a Lifetime on the Touchline.” I had a teak on it over at Stars and Stripes FC.
There’s been a lot on here about Crystal Dunn of the NC Courage and USWNT. Over on the big SBN Soccer site Kevin McCauley has a very readable rant about why it’s not great that coaches are misusing her talents - she has many.
International
The USWNT takes on Mexico in two friendlies this week starting tonight. Here’s a preview of the matchup and how to watch.
Oh yeah, and Cristiano Ronaldo is really good at soccer. He’s scored a lot of goals and the really good and always entertaining Will McGee has a look at what he considers Ronaldo’s five best.
In Champions League action Liverpool demolished Manchester City 3-0. The Ringer’s Ryan O’Hanlon writes that they could even win the entire tournament depending on the health of Mo Salah’s groin. Meanwhile,
Goal
So it’s an entire highlight reel, but there’s goals in here.

In what was his "battle" with fellow POTY frontrunner, KDB, it was Liverpool’s Pharaoh who stole the show as he scored a goal and assisted another before coming off injured. Mo Salah has quite simply been unstoppable this season. pic.twitter.com/9Hu5jpNNum
You should listen to...
Bob Bradley on the Planet Futbol podcast from last week. This week Grant Wahl is talking about Bruce Arena’s book and no thank you, sir.
