Atlanta United has shown time and again both this season and last that it can be great when things are going its way. But what the Five Stripes showed for the second consecutive week on Saturday night was the ability to use its cunning and cohesion to grab 3 points in the face of adversity. The cards were heavily stacked against Atlanta, having to start reserves and rotation players like Mikey Ambrose, Miles Robinson and Chris McCann. It’s a testament to the team’s core that such players have been able to step in and fill in without the team missing a beat. It’s crazy to think that Atlanta’s attack is quite clearly the strength of the team, and we still haven’t even seen the attacking stars like Miguel Almiron and Josef Martinez linking up with the most expensive player in MLS history. That’s gonna happen at some point! Holy ****!
Sorry.... I’m getting ahead of myself again. Here are your player ratings from LAFC.
