Full-time: Atlanta United hang on for the 2-1 win! They stop top of the East no matter what NYCFC does later tonight.
57’ - Orlando are back in it. Justin Meram has cut the lead to 2-1 after a bouncy rebound allowed by Alec Kann. Meram collected wide open in front of goal and made no mistake in slotting in under the Atlanta goalkeeper.

Pre-match: Atlanta United make the quick turnaround after their first defeat in over two months with a match-up against their rivals, Orlando City. It’s the first meeting between the Lions and Five Stripes this season. Atlanta holds the advantage in the series after winning and drawing twice in the three matches last year.
Tito Villalba’s heroics against the team in purple spawned a nickname, The Lion Tamer. He holds a game-winning and game-tying goal against Orlando. Hopefully he can add to his own lore again this season.
The narrative entering this match surrounds Orlando City, who his currently riding a six-game win streak. However, the schedule makers have been kind to the kitties. Atlanta will certainly be their toughest competition in that stretch of good form.
Can United rebound from a disappointing loss at midweek? Or will Orlando continue their great form and catch Atlanta in the standings? Get ready for the rivalry to continue.
