Atlanta United rebounded after losing to Sporting Kansas City 2-0 on Wednesday night with another win in Orlando City. This time a Josef Martinez penalty and Ezequiel Barco screamer put the King Peaches over the pathetic purples. In case you are wondering, the history of Orlando played a big part in the win.

Anyway, here’s how it looked on the stat sheet...

As he proved all of last year, Alec Kann showed again why he’s Atlanta’s most important player. His five saves came up big as the team won yet again in Orlando. Meanwhile, Orlando had a few chances here and there and the goal by Justin Meram did help make it more of a game for Atlanta’s opponents.

Atlanta was happy to let Orlando try to break them down defensively and ceded 55% possession. It wouldn’t matter as the home team failed to convert their possession into much more than crosses, shots off targets, and dives.
