This year’s MLS All-Star Game takes place right here in our backyard. While the game against Juventus being played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium is cool and all, what would be even better is to see a hoard of Atlanta United players actually playing in the game. Well, you now have the chance to make that happen.
The league announced their nominees for the All-Star Game roster today. Eight players from each team make up the pool of players from which you, the fans, will decide the 10 “starters” for the team. The 11th spot in the XI will be determined by scoring goals with a forward in FIFA 18:
Cast your vote for the MLS All-Stars’ third forward by scoring goals in EA SPORTS FIFA 18 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One or Xbox 360. Every time you score a goal using a forward on the MLS All-Star ballot that player will receive a vote. Each goal scored equals one vote. (Voting ends June 20 at 11:55 PM PT.)
Atlanta United’s eight nominees are:
- Josef Martinez, F
- Miguel Almiron, M
- Darlington Nagbe, M
- Ezequiel Barco, M
- Julian Gressel, M
- Leandro Gonzalez Pirez, D
- Michael Parkhurst, D
- Brad Guzan, GK
Submitting your vote this year is a bit different. Votes can only be submitted through the official MLS mobile app. You can download that for your device here.
It’s no secret that Atlanta United fans are extremely prolific in online votes. Well, now it really matters. How awesome would it be to have all eight nominees get voted in? You could make a case that all eight deserve it this season too. Voting ends on June 20 with the match happening on August 1. Get to voting. Get your family and friends to vote and let’s get it done.
