Full-time - That’s that. Atlanta blow two points.

88’ - New England are level late. After blowing one-hundred and fifty chances to score, Atlanta concede a late penalty. Teal Bunbury converts and everything is bad again.

23’ - Atlanta United strike first! Josef Martinez’s ninth goal of the season has the Five Stripes on the board. It wasn’t the most skillful of defending from the Revs as two defenders allowed a seemingly harmless pass go through right to Josef for the easy finish.

Pre-match: After a nice little 10-day rest period, Atlanta United returns to league action tonight in the Northeast. The New England Revolution await to try and pile onto the Five Stripes’ misery.

The loss to the Red Bulls still tastes bad, but rebounding with a road win against a tough opponent could be just the brand of mouthwash the team needs. It will be no easy task as the Revs are considerably better at Gillette Stadium than they are away from it. They are 4-2-1 so far at home.

Making things even tougher, Atlanta will be without two key defensive starters in Leandro Gonzalez Pirez and Greg Garza, both of whom are suspended. It was also learned yesterday that Garza would miss a considerable amount of time after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder.

Can the Five Stripes get back on track and keep their lead atop the Eastern conference standings intact? Let’s find out...
