Carleton, Kunga to play in 2018 Homegrown Game

Two of Atlanta’s own will play in the annual youth showcase.

ATLANTA UNITED

Atlanta United will be sending two of their Homegrown Players to the annual MLS Homegrown Game this year. Andrew Carleton and Lagos Kunga are the two Five Stripes youngsters who will be playing in front of the home crowd against Tigres UANL’s Under-20 team.

For Carleton, this is his second straight year making the roster as he played in last year’s game in Chicago. Kunga will be making his first appearance on the roster. One interesting omission is Chris Goslin, who made it last year, but for some reason, was left off this time around.

The match will be played on Tuesday, July 31 at 8 p.m. ET at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground. It will be televised live on Univision Deportes and streamed on Twitter.
