Atlanta United’s midfield reinforcement has arrived in town. Early Friday morning, around 5:45 a.m. local time, a trio of dedicated Atlanta United supporters greeted Atlanta United midfielder Eric Remedi as he arrived in Atlanta for the first time.

It’s unknown when he will formally be presented by the team. It can be customary for new signings to be presented at halftime in front of the home crowd if occasion lends itself to that, so that’s something we could see on Sunday. It would be extremely surprising at this point if Remedi was in playing condition for this weekend’s match against the Seattle Sounders, however.
Riddle reported it wasn’t just fans who were expecting to see the Argentine midfielder—that police officers and airport officials were also aware of Remedi’s arrival. The former Banfield player will surely hope it isn’t too long before he is able to formally wear the five stripes in league play, helping Atlanta United to win silverware this season.
