Your last chance to make Michael Parkhurst captain of the MLS All-Stars

Let’s get it done.

MLS: Seattle Sounders at Atlanta United FC Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

With less than 24 hours remaining in the fan vote to decide the captain of the 2018 MLS All-Star team, strong indications are that Michael Parkhurst is in danger of losing out. Our advanced analytics guru has scoured the internet and understands that the Atlanta United captain is not in the lead when it comes to most Twitter interactions.

This will not stand. Atlanta’s fans are notorious for dominating online fan voting. Parkhurst leads the Five Stripes with pure class every week and it’s time to repay those contributions. We need all hands on deck to make sure Parky is wearing the armband for the MLS All-Stars next week in front of his home crowd.

To vote, you need to either click on the Parkhurst option in the tweet above and send out the pre-filled tweet that it creates for you or manually tweet #VoteParkhurst in any and every tweet you send from now until 5pm on Tuesday. Make sure you tell your friends, family, co-workers, bitter enemy, mailman, and therapist to do the same. Every single usage of the hashtag counts as a vote, so don’t be shy with it.

Now is not the time for complacency. No matter your feelings on All-Star games in general, we can all agree that Michael Parkhurst deserves this honor for the tireless and excellent work he provides on a regular basis. Let’s get to work and make it happen.
