Winner, winner

Job done. Atlanta United pick up another big away win.

Piatti pulls one back

Nacho Piatti has made it interesting late. His left footed blast past Guzan makes it a one-goal game with just a few minutes remaining.

And again

No. 24 and counting. They don’t all have to be pretty.

Josef continues amazing scoring pace

Atlanta United lead and guess who scored the opener? Josef Martinez widens his lead atop the MLS Golden Boot race with his 23rd of the season. Tito Villalba with the assist.

Pre-Game

After a stretch of home matches, Atlanta United return to the road to take on the Montreal Impact. Tata Martino’s side have been stellar on the road so far in 2018. They currently have the least amount of away losses and the most away wins in the entire league, losing just twice while winning six times.

They’ll need to rely on that great record as Montreal are not to be taken lightly, especially at Stade Saputo. Les Bleus is 7-3-0 at home and sit in fifth in the East.

Atlanta United will be without Ezequiel Barco again in this one as he’s serving his team-imposed benching. How Martino decides to replace him on the road will be a big area of interest. Andrew Carleton played well against D.C. United. Will he get another chance or will we see a more defensive approach on the road?

NYCFC have pulled to within one point of Atlanta in the East. While it’s still way to early to worry about must-win matches, if the Five Stripes want to keep their lead atop the standings heading into the All-Star Game, they’ll need to take full points from this one. Let’s see if they can keep up their brilliant road form.
