Full-time - Atlanta United fully choke away everything.
88’ - FC Dallas 3, Atlanta United 2: Akindele puts Dallas in front very late after a scramble in the box. Oof.
86’ - FC Dallas 2, Atlanta United 2: Dallas comes back and ties it late. Tesho Akindele gets the equalizer.
73’ - FC Dallas 1, Atlanta United 2: The Five Stripes are in the lead! It’s Josef Martinez once again. Linking up with his old pal, Miguel Almiron, the striker got on the end of a great pass and slammed in his 17th of the season to put his side ahead.

41’ - FC Dallas 1, Atlanta United 1: Atlanta United strikes back to tie the match thanks to some individual brilliance from Tito Villalba. The winger absolutely embarrassed his marker to set up Josef Martinez for his 16th goal of the season.

22’ - FC Dallas 1, Atlanta United 0: The home side take the lead through a fantastic free kick from Reto Ziegler. His left-footed curler left Brad Guzan no chance.
Great free kick by Reto Ziegler to give #FCDallas the 1-0 lead against #ATLUTD. He did very well to get it up over the wall, and down into the bottom corner.#FCDvATL #DALvATL #FCD #MLS pic.twitter.com/DGOaFs3OZ4

Pre-game: Atlanta United are back at it with some fun midweek MLS action. Tonight, the Five Stripes take on a dangerous FC Dallas team away from home.
Coming off an extremely satisfying rout of Orlando, there’s no time for relaxing as the Supporters’ Shield race is heating up. Atlanta do have a five-point lead in the East over the New York Red Bulls, but they have two games in hand.
Five points is also what separates Atlanta from Dallas in the race for league best. The artists formerly known as Burn have caught up to Sporting Kansas City in the West and have their sights set on tracking down the top spot in MLS.
Dallas are 6-2-1 in their last nine league matches and haven’t lost at home all season.
Can Atlanta United continue their impressive away form and end that unbeaten run? Or will FC Dallas make a statement and prove they deserve to be in the discussion for the best team in the league?
Note: We’re trying something new with our match threads this year. We’ll be updating the post with updates of goals and big moments as they happen. Check back every so often during the match for highlights and commentary.
