After a brutal loss only three days prior to Atlanta United’s match against the Philadelphia Union Saturday night, the Five Stripes bounced back with a vital 2-0 victory. The result is a huge mental boost for them team, especially considering Tata Martino’s words postmatch:
“I was worried. First, because of the amount of effort that the guys put forth in the game against Dallas so I didn’t know if we had enough energy to finish the game tonight. And I was also worried about how the guys would respond from a game that we probably should have won but we ended up losing.”

Man of the Match: Miguel Almiron
Atlanta’s attacking quartet looked dangerous throughout the match at Talen Energy Stadium, and as usual, Almiron lead the charge. He did his normal thing—generally being awesome—and finally got on the end of an amazing pass from Leandro Gonzalez Pirez to draw a penalty in the 58th minute.
