Awesome.

FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast continue their great coverage of Atlanta United by announcing that they’ll be televising Frank de Boer’s first press conference since becoming the new Atlanta United manager.

FOX Sports Southeast will carry de Boer’s first interaction with local media on Monday at 11:00 a.m. ET.

While this may seem ordinary for a big hire to get this sort of attention, I can promise you it’s pretty rare for any non-match event to get televised on a regional sports network. This continues a great trend that began last season with extra programming that included the MLS Cup celebratory parade.

In this day and age with MLS teams partnering with local channels and even worse, internet streaming services, having a regional sports network that reaches widely across the southeast dedicated to providing content is fantastic. Here’s to hoping this broadcasting relationship continues for the foreseeable future.

If you’re not sure what channel your local FSSE is on, you can find it here.
