What happened since yesterday.

MLS: D.C. United at Atlanta United FC Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

Hi. Welcome to the thread.

Yooouuuuurrrrreeeeeee, gonna want to sit down. We have some things to talk about.

Remember Miguel Almiron? Paraguayan guy. Pretty skinny. Yeah, he’s gone. I mean, he’s literally gotten on a plan and left. It’s actually happening. Like, the whole concept of this club and what we’ve been talking about for years is finally happening. We’re just waiting on that to get finalized and see if we get any more details on the sale through reports today.

What else is going on? Oh, the biggest club in Argentina is submitting formal bids for probably our most important player at this point who is in the last year of his contract. So that’s neat. Of course, Boca Juniors’ bid for Leandro Gonzalez Pirez was reportedly rejected yesterday, but that doesn’t mean we’ve seen the end of the saga.

Did I mention Pogba? No, not that one, there’s another Pogba. Yeah. Uh huh. Yep apparently WE’RE SIGNING HIM. [VERY VINCE LOMBARDI VOICE] WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON OUT HERE

UPDATES

9:45 - Ok, I’m at my computer for a couple updates. First we have confirmation that Miguel Almiron has arrived on Tyneside for his medical.

Next, we have Doug Roberson from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution dropping this little hint on us that there may be more to come:

Of course, Florentin Pogba has been reported by French sources to be landing in Atlanta this transfer window, so I have to imagine that has to do with at least one deal Roberson is referencing here, but there could be more, including outgoings.

9:49 a.m. - Apparently Miguel Almiron is in this car.

I love the transfer window so much.

10:27 a.m. - More updates from Sky Sports on Almiron’s arrival.
